I’m so lousy with time zones I won’t say Good Morning or Good Evening (and besides that last one is too much like Dracula) so Hello and Welcome to today’s reading post. I’m Mia Epsilon and I write contemporary romance for Breathless Press. And this post will introduce you to *me*.
I live here:
Okay, not really, but I WANT to live there (Who wouldn’t, haha). I actually live in the oldest mountains in the world, the Blue Ridge Appalachians. They look like this in the summer:
and like this, sometimes, in the winter:
I’m married to my Soul Mate (yes, they actually exist and I had to kiss some frogs, dogs and a couple of outright duds before I found him). He doesn’t like his picture taken so this is what he looks like in the virtual world Second Life where I first met him (I’m the cute red head):
Yes, a virtual world! He’s the managing director of this huge cruise ship and I’m his lovely, charming wife. In addition to running a ship with live entertainment and performers, DJ sets, a pool, basketball court, ballroom, running track and dozens of guest rooms, we participate in the annul Relay For Life of Second Life because I’m a cancer survivor. RFL is a yearly 24 hour event held real life on tracks across the world to raise donations for cancer research in the hopes of finding a cure. This is what the RFL track looks like on a virtual scale with yours truly ready to walk the opening lap, called the Survivors’ and Caregivers’ Lap.
This is what the RFL track looks like on a virtual scale with yours truly ready to walk the opening lap, called the Survivors’ and Caregivers’ Lap. After we walk this lap, a group of us, including my own personal heroine and fellow survivor Ishtar, dress in belly dancing costumes and dance for the rest of the Relay beside the track as encouragement to other relayers. We look like this:
That’s the year the plant from ‘The Little Shop of Horrors’ stopped by for a visit.
So here’s a bit more about me. I love chocolate, coffee, Doctor Who (guess you already figured that), Sherlock, and reading anything with pages:
Hm? Oh, sorry I was drooling…I mean thinking! Yes, I was thinking. I write. I love to write. I always have loved to write. So it’s an honour to share books with you. I have one book out with Breathless Press called Wedding Belle Blues. This is the cover:
The second book in that series Weddings by C & C releases from Breathless Press soon so I can’t show you the cover yet. BUT, I also have a short story in a special edition to celebrate the Breathless Press Anniversary. It’s called Leave Your Hat On and this is the cover:
It’s included in a hard cover and paperback limited edition only available for a short time.
I’m currently writing the forth book in the Weddings series (my editor is about to read the third, keep your fingers crosses for me please) and busy at my ‘other’ job which is teaching young children. I’m also creatively trying to endure the record heat we’re having and not jumping out of my skin at each lightening flash.
Thanks for reading or scrolling through these photos (and drooling over a couple, come on, admit it, you did). Let’s share and get to know each other. What are some of your favourite things?
