What I Did For a DukeGuest Blog by Sandra Scholes

We all love reading, and over the past ten or so years, ebooks have become more of a staple part of our reading diet in more ways than we can imagine. Romance titles also make up a huge part of women’s reading, so these ten novels below make up the sort of romance e-books we might normally like.

Writers like Nora Roberts, Loretta Chase and Nalini Singh have also written other romance novels for sub-genres such as fantasy and
horror, but they have all written novels with a romantic tone to them, and we all know why…romance novels are fun to read and take a person away from the rigours of our daily working lives.

  1. Dreams of a Dark Warrior (Immortals After Dark Series, Book 9) by Kresley Cole
  2. Dragon Bound (A Novel of the Elder Races) by Thea Harrison
  3. Heart of Steel (A Novel of the Iron Seas) by Meljean Brook
  4. What I Did For a Duke (Pennyroyal Green Series) by Julie Ann Long
  5. Breaking Point (An I-Team Novel) by Pamela Clare
  6. The Next Always (Book One of the Inn BoonsBoro Trilogy) by Nora Roberts
  7. Unveiled by Courtney Milan
  8. Archangel's Blade (Guild Hunter) by Nalini Singh
  9. Seduction of a Highland Lass (McCabe Trilogy) by Maya Banks
  10. Silk Is For Seduction by Loretta Chase

These are regarded as some of the best novels of 2011, but of course if you have any others in mind that you think are better than this, I would love to hear about them!

Sandra delights in immersing herself in anything period romance, says that supernatural romance novels have a tendency to grasp her in a way that some don't, and thinks GLBT romances have that extra something and show a different way of how people of the same sex find love and try to keep it. She likes a wide variety of novels and is interested in reading stories, and in some cases, the shorter the better. Romance of all genres can keep her interest, but she finds that the Regency period is one of her firm favourites. Learn more about Sandra in her Reader Highlight.

Totally agree with this list – except… :)

I think “Scandalous Desires” By: Elizabeth Hoyt and “When Beauty Tamed the Beast” By: Eloisa James should be on there too!

2011 was definitely a GREAT year but 2012 is turning into being a pretty good one too!
