Bio-Engineering to Attain Shift Transformation

Hello, everyone. My name is Rebecca Goings, and I'm going to talk to you today about my popular B*E*A*S*T* series. More specifically, the new book that's releasing from www.ChampagneBooks.com on September 7th entitled MARK OF THE B*E*A*S*T*. This book is the fourth one in the series, and involves the love story of Mackenzie Bishop and Robyn Groves.

Mac is a jaguar and Robyn is a snowy owl. Out of all my B*E*A*S*T* books, this is the first that features both the hero and heroine as shifters. The premise of the series is, these guys are on the run from a malevolent secret agency, known as B*E*A*S*T*, or Bio-Engineering to Attain Shift Transformation. Some of the shifters are horrified at what they've been genetically engineered to be.

Others embrace their darker, animal side.

This book was promised to my fans, but it took me over two years to write after I'd finished the third book. In part, that was due to the fact I was a bit burned out on writing over-the-top action scenes, but also because I knew the series needed to change, the plot had to evolve in order for the fourth book to be fresh and relevant.

You can't have a successful series if the next book is the same plot as the book before. So I needed to change the "on the run" angle and take the storyline to the next level. For two years, I had no idea how to do it. I knew Mac and Robyn's story would be hot. They burned up the pages of the previous book to introduce them to readers. I wanted their story to be desperate. Even more so than the others in the series.

I believe I've achieved that. In my time off, I've written other books and grown as an author. I've dabbled in erotic romance and upped the ante with regards to emotion. Therefore, I can say without a doubt MARK OF THE B*E*A*S*T* is the hottest, most well-written book of the set. It is my favorite of my B*E*A*S*T* series, not just for that reason, but because of Mac and Robyn's love story.

It's always interesting to me to write about two characters who are already madly in love by word one. In many ways, it makes writing their love story much more challenging, because we can't just throw them in bed without that build-up, that tension. This book has tension and desperation in spades.

If you love shifters, high emotion, kick-ass action, and hot, steamy sex, you don't want to miss this book. It can be read on it's own, however, you might want to pick up the rest of the series just to get the whole story. Will there be more? At this point, I don't know. Only if I can think of another awesome plot. Like I said, the books need to keep evolving and changing to keep the stories fresh. We shall see...
