Everyone loves Alice Cullen. She's the tiniest of the Cullen family and very pixie-like. Her loves include fashion, bright shiny yellow sports cars, and throwing a party. Oh and Jasper. ;) Whether you want to adapt her style to your own wardrobe full time or come up with the perfect Alice costume for a party or for Halloween, this how-to is for you.

Her Palette:

Alice is well known for dressing in an analogous color scheme. She wears a lot of blacks, grays, whites, purples, and blues. Occasionally other colors make it into her look, but this style maven uses them as highlights and regulates this flashes of color to her accessories.

Empire Waists:

Alice loves empire waists and they look fabulous on her. In Twilight, she wore a very cute gray tiered floral pattern empire waist dress and paired it with black leggings and a long sleeve black lace sweater. In New Moon she donned a cute dressy purple ensemble for Bella's fated birthday party. If you want to feel super cute and chic adding a few empire waist dresses to your wardrobe is the way to go.

Here's what you need to pull together an Alice Cullen costume featuring empire waists:

1. Gray Empire Waist Dress:

2. Black Leggings:

3. Black Knitted Shrug:

4. Silver Ballet Flats:

1. Purple Empire Waist Dress:

2. Black Ballet Flats:

Layering:

Alice Cullen is also known for her layering. She'll wear a shirt, vest, and sweater get-up or long sleeves, artist smocks, and arm warmers. Part of the reasoning behind this style is to hide all her flawless skin that sparkles in sunlight. If she's covered up there can be no oopsies from accidental shafts of light hitting her in the school cafeteria.

To pull one of these layering outfits off you will need:

1. White Dress Shirt:

2. Black Vest:

3. Gray Jeans:

4. White Sweater:

1. Blue Shirt (Preferably Larger Than Needed):

2. Long White Sleeve Shirt:

3. Knitted Arm Warmers:

4. Black Dress Pants:

5. Purple Scarf:

What's great about Alice's style is that there are sure to be several pieces already in your closet. Now that we go the clothes out of the way it's time to see how else you can complete your Alice Cullen look.

Hair

Alice wears her hair short and spikey and usually flipped out. If you don't have short hair, or don't feel like cutting it, you can always go for a wig.

Makeup

Alice goes for very pale neutral makeup to make her very fair skin. She brings life to her face with the use of soft shades of plum pink lipstick. Here's a tutorial on how to do it:
