Wanda: When did you write your first story?
Carolyn Brown: I wrote my first book when my third child was born in 1973. She refused to sleep at night so I picked up a spiral back notebook and a pencil. It did not sell. My first book to sell was to Kensington in 1997 under the pen name Abby Gray. That was fifty two books ago.
