The Last Holiday is one of my favorite Queen Latifah movies. She’s a wonderful actress and I don't think I've seen a film yet that she's in that I didn't love. Latifah is so easy to watch, I always leave one of her movies with a happy grin and a skip in my step. You can’t help but feel good as you watch her play Georgia Byrd in Last Holiday.
Byrd is a sweet woman who works as a sales representative in a department store. She specializes in cookware and loves to cook – she just can’t eat what she makes. Upon finding out that she possesses a brain tumor that her health insurance won’t pay to fix, Georgia Byrd makes the decision to shake up her simple life and do all the things she planned to do later in life.
Fast forward and Georgia is liquidating her savings, planning a vacation at a five star hotel in Europe, travels first class, and enjoying several luxurious spa treatments. She meets a lot of crazy people on her unplanned holiday including a senator that was suppose to be meeting her church congregation, the CEO of her department store chain, a cranky hotel suite attendant, a confused redhead with love and business problems, and a chef who knows the secret of life... butter!
If you’ve never seen the Last Holiday you are missing out on two hours of fun and laughs. Remedy that today- go out and rent/buy/beg/borrow/or steal!

I love this movie, too. And LL Cool J as a nice guy retail clerk? He’s surprisingly believable!
