If you had you would know that lorna is not empathic but Claircognitive but only with numbers (which is why she also knows what slot machines to play) and a sensitive. Mercy and judah are not bitter enemies nor is it lust. They're kind of like a romeo and Juliet because they come from warring families and are deeply madly in love with one another (mercy refers to judah as her judah and judah refers to mercy as his mercy.) and the big battle scene does not focus on Dante soley which you would know had you read the book thoroughly, it focuses on mercy first, then gideon and hope then Dante and lorna.
