It's difficult to pick a favourite - she has quite a small oeuvre and really, you can't go wrong with her, but my reccs would be Untie My Heart or The Proposition Black Silk is great but a difficult romance read - save it for if you fall in love with her books. Angel in a Red Dress is her first book and not quite as good as the others. Bliss is a very big fave of mine but impossible to get your hands on. The only one I've never managed to get is Dance. I love Ivory’s books but this is probably my least favourite for the reason you mention.
