smokin seventeen

Summary: Dead bodies are found during the construction of Vincent Plum Bail Bonds. The killer is a mystery, one of his next victims is not - Stephanie Plum is on the hit list. They must discover the murderer before he or she gets to Stephanie.

Stephanie's love life is also on the chopping block - Morelli or Ranger or a former high school football hero. Her mother is voting for Dave, the football hero. Morelli's grandmother is voting for anybody but her grandson and gives Stephanie the evil eye.

Review: You know what you get when you open a Stephanie Plum book - crazy hijinks, perps, a big case, a love triangle, and blown up cars. :)

The vampire perp is hilarious. I enjoyed any scene he was in - you have to wonder where Janet Evanovich gets these characters. Are these spoofs of real people?

I love Lula, she really holds her own as comic relief. Grandma Mazur too.

Team Vote: Grandma Bella fixes Stephanie with a lusty evil eye spell. If only it made her chooose! Ranger, he's so freaking sexy. I want him. I'm ready for her to really pick (and pick Ranger!) and go for the whole shebang.

Rating: ★★★★☆
