Hi There, I'm visiting from the Just Write Blog Carnival. It is great how woman have become empowered in romance novels. Now to undo the fairy tales of the knight in shining armour coming to rescue me... and live happily ever after.

I'm glad you ladies found something you liked in my post. I like this blog a lot, so I jumped at the chance to contribute!

I spent so many years full of disdain for romance novels. The good thing? I have a heck of a back catalog of great books to read.

I encountered strong women who were whole and who didn’t need a man to complete them. Instead, they wanted a partner to share the burdens and the joys of life.

Times change and with it, romance. An old saying (sorta) but too true. I agree. I liked reading romances when I was a teen, but then thought "Pft why do I need to get married just to feel complete?" Now, when I read a romance, I like knowing it's not about that anymore. It's about living your life but with a guy who'll appreciate you for you.

Excellent blog, thanks for sharing!
