Signs Your Man is a Shapeshifter

savagehungerGuest blog by Terry Spear, author of Savage Hunger

You know when your man could be a shapeshifter when:

  1. He installs a BIG pet door at your house and you don’t own a pet.
  2. He LOVES to get naked.
  3. He owns a handy dandy lock pick set—standard issue lupus garou variety. (This only counts for wolf shifters. Jaguars have to find another way in.)
  4. You find fur shed in the house and you don’t own a pet.
  5. You find big claw marks on the furniture and you don’t own a cat.
  6. He growls a lot.
  7. He purrs. (Big cat shifters only.)
  8. He wants to run in the woods. (Wolf shifters only.)
  9. He wants to run in the jungle. (Jaguar shifters only.)
  10. He’s got great stamina.
  11. Can climb trees. (Jaguar shifters only.)
  12. Super physical strength.
  13. Wants to be with only one woman for life.
  14. He’s protective.
  15. He’s insatiable.
  16. He’s a predator.
  17. And he loves the water.
  18. Did I mention he’s a hunk?

If you find your man has many of these qualities, you might have gotten lucky and have yourself a shifter for a hunk! If not, you might want to keep looking. They’re loveable, helpful, protective and courageous. They never back down in a fight.

Did I mention about the stamina? They put all those toned muscles to great use!

So what happens if we are lucky enough to come across both a jaguar shifter and a werewolf? How do we choose? Well, that’s the fun part!

And it all depends on you!

  1. Terry, I think you covered it all. Great post!

  2. Thanks for such a fun post! I’ve been wanting to read Terry’s series *forever* :)

I’d think that I appreciate the one woman for life part… but all the others are great too!

  3. Chris Bails

Unfortunately my man is not a shifter, even though is loves to do it doggie style. LOL. I am still on the lookout. Would prefer the wolf variety. This book sounds great. Terry is a new author for me. I love series and this one looks awesome. Thanks for the giveaway.

  4. Diva Donna

Hello everyone at Love Romance Passion and Terry, I think you covered almost everything. I’ve been a big fan for along time. I’ve been lusting after these wolves for years. And so jealous of the women who actually hear their man Howl when he has his release. That’s why they don’t have neighbors. Terry you mentioned Stamina. So I know that’s lots of howling. So Terry I hope I’ll fall in love with those big cats too. I want to find out if they’re Savages in the bedroom. How loud can they purr?

  5. I think I’m married to a shifter. Does hair in the sink count?

  6. Petula Winmill

I don’t think my man is a shape shifter. :-(( but he is 60 now and we’ve been married 37yrs so that counts for something.

  7. Those are too funny. The first one got me good.
I think they should be loyal in all aspects. I just like my guys to have good character. All the other qualities are fantastic too :)

  8. So many good signs! I especialy like the one where he wants to be with a woman for life. That’s loyal :)

    • I gree, Na! Without the loyalty, what else do you have? I mean, the rest is great, but if he doesn’t stick around, it’s not worth it!

  9. Too bad shifters are so elusive. I wouldn’t mind finding one. :)
    Great post!

  10. Heathercm2001

I think my personal favorite is the great stamina! He’d be able to do all the work around the house and still have energy for the fun stuff. 😉
My favorite pack is the Highland Wolves!!! I’d drop everything and head for the Highlands in a heartbeat to hang out with Ian and his brothers!!!

  11. Diane Sallans

I have only read a few wolf shifter stories so far, but I’m very curious about other forms of shifters. I think the must have attribute is sensuality – tho all the others you mentioned go with the package too.

  12. Hi Terry! My favorite shapeshifters are werewolves…they are so warm and furry…and they follow their instincts! Thank you for the giveaway opportunity =)

  13. What a great list Terry! It’s a hoot. How many of these characteristics would you say constitute a strong probability my man is a shifter? And is it safe for me to just come right out and ask, or what? :-)

    • LOL, Amber, I love it!! #1, #3, #4, and #5, add ten points for each of these. The rest get 5 points each. Add them up. If you have a total of 55 or more, there’s a distinct possibility you’ve got yourself a shifter.

And I’d say go for it! If he knows you’re pretty darn sure he’s one, that’s half the battle. He’ll just be all the happier that he can let you in on his little secret! :)

  14. what I think would be the best quality in a shapeshifting hunk that I’d appreciate is:D Having the ability 2 have a six sense, shift into a panther,I find that there aren’t enough of NATIVE AMERICAN HEROES..I love, love them. Being sensitive about there surroundings, protector also loves passionate. Heyy it wouldn’t B bad if they/Hero loves curvacious Gal & Loves riding motor cycles..definitely daring!! thanQ

  15. There are too many great reasons to love shifters: Some of the best reasons to me:
    2. Loves to get naked
    10. Stamina
    15. Insatiable
    18. Hunk
LOL. I did really love that list :)

  16. Mary Roya

I read those conditions to my hubby and he said “Well that’s not me.” And I told him, “I think you’re a hunk, you love to get naked too, plus you have one those guys will never have, me.” I think humor is important. It’s one of the things that attached me to my hubby. I think its a top in my list.

  17. I like #13 because it shows he’s loyal.

  18. First wolves, now jaguars. The best quality’s got to be loyalty surely!

  19. Stephanie Shaw

I think my husband must be a shifter. He has 12/18 on the qualifying list. I think my favorite qualities of the shifters are never getting sick and mating for life. In this generation, people always want to give up on each other instead of seeing it through for the long haul. You know your mate is completely dedicated to you, so no worries about a cheating spouse. Since we haven’t cured anything since polio and diseases like cancer and AIDS are killing people world wide, it would be nice if you didn’t have to worry about them.
Please sign me up to win this book!

    • Oh, wow, you are so lucky to have a shifter husband, Stephanie! I won’t ask which 12 he has, but you’re so lucky! :)

I agree about the never getting sick and mating for life!

  20. I’m torn between your highland wolves. All of your shifters are hot. I can’t wait to check out the jaguars. Your list was very entertaining.

  21. Congrats on the new release. This book sounds fantastic. Can;t wait to read it.
I don’t think there is anything else to add to your list. I love the ones about purring and stamina.

  22. I think protective is a great one but so are the others on your list.
