Hi Joder -- what a good point! Yes, the stakes are very high in urban fantasy, aren't they? It's sort of like romantic suspense in that regard, only more so. It's generations of people that can be at stake, and beyond.

Makes contemporary romances look fluffy in comparison. :)

Congrats on the new book! It sounds great! I love UF stories because they're gritty and the characters are willing to get down and dirty. That's also why the erotica part of it is so good. Characters in these stories are so busy fighting for their lives that when it comes to a romantic interlude they take it very seriously.

Hi, Teal! I'm pretty new to urban fantasy, but do love reading stories with heat, so I'm definitely open to reading yours! What I marvel over is the different worlds writers create, and I love that authors like you are constantly building new realms to explore. Congrats on your Destiny's Trinities series--it definitely sounds like one I'll enjoy reading!

Hi Tracey!

That's what I like about urban fantasies, too -- that bit of "reality" -- the mention of long swords strapped over Levi jeans, or elves marching through malls. It's such a cool contrast, makes it seem so much more real and close to home.

Then if you add in a really serious and down to earth romance....perfect!

Hi, Teal.

I enjoyed reading the post. I love urban fantasies and love erotica, so the two are a perfect combination. With urban fantasies, I like the bit of "reality" combined with the fantasy and the erotica... well, what can I say. Any woman would want a hot man all ove her!

Thanks,
Tracey D

Thanks, Susan.

Some of the reviews that have been coming back indicate that I could have got more information in there...you can't please everyone! These days, I think everyone is used to the big chunky 100,000 word urban fantasy novels, and getting their fantasies in novella length doses takes a change of mental pace.

It was enormous fun writing them. I think I'm going to head back and write some more...but I'm going to wait for some more reader feedback on the three to decide absolutely for sure on that. At least until MIA is out, anyway. The response on BETH has been pretty overwhelming so far. MIA will tip it one way or the other.

A spicy erotic industrial strength urban fantasy novella?
You certainly are a pioneer! Great job, I've heard you're a wonderful author. I hope to read your work in the near future. You know what always amazes me, the author incorporating those dribbles of information. That sounds "very difficult" to do successfully.

Hi Cathy! You stopped by! Thanks!

Yeah, I'm afraid I'm just a sucker for a decent romance. There's lots of really good stories out there these day that just get short changed in the romance department. They even whimp out on the name: It's a "romantic interest". They can't even call it a romance!

So it's nice to see a romance fully developed inside a decently developed urban fantasy. But balancing out an fully developed erotic romance AND an urban fantasy can be tricky!
