I like the concept of this book from the way you described it.

ITA with what you said about not liking “where two people quarrel all the way through the story except in bed, and then, in the last chapter, they realize that their differences aren’t that important, or that one of them was missing some crucial information that he/she needed to resolve their differences.”

I get tired of conflict IRL. I don’t need to read it in books.

etirev, hello again. I’ve read a big chunk of P&P and Zombies, and I think it’s very clever, though not my type of novel, really. But it’s very well done, and I can understand why people love it. I haven’t read Mr Darcy, Vampyre, though I’ve read some of Amanda’s Grange’s other work and admired it. Knowing what I know of Amanda, I’m sure she has included a great deal of 19th century gothic in her novel, because she’d very well read in that genre, so I’m sure her vampyre lore is very historically accurate for Jane Austen’s time. I did an interview with her a while ago on my blog.

Deidre: I love all sorts of books, classics and otherwise. I’m a Virginia Woolf and Oscar Wilde fan, besides that I love E.M Forster, Faulkner, Lawrence, and a lot of early 20th century literature. I do like the Bronte and Elizabeth Gaskell as well. Too many books, too short a life, I say!

This book looks very interesting. I had never thought of Caroline Bingley as a romantic heroine since I am so used to thinking of her as a snob.
