David B. is definitely a hottie. I really enjoyed what you have to say about the heroes. Too often they are too black or white. It’s the gray characters that intrigue us the most.

Well said, Rachel. So often, discussion of heroes gets oversimplified to Beta vs. Alpha, but I think either kind can be compelling. After all, isn’t overcoming fears what makes them heroes?

Rachel – I love how your heroes aren’t cookie-cutter perfect; it makes for a richer read when the hero has something to learn. I love all kinds of heroes, as long as they are complex and develop over the course of the book (or series).
