Here are some sure signs you are not a casual reader but an avid reader:
- You bought an ereader and now do a good portion of your reading on it. (True!)
- You remember to charge your ereader more than your phone. (Yes, this happens all the time for me. My phone goes dead but never my Kindle.)
- You know how much charge is left in your ereader but not the amount of gas in your car tank. (I got like maybe half a tank of gas??? I don’t know. At least my car never dies like my phone.)
- You know where to find the best book deals (cough freebies cough), but don’t know where sales are happening for clothes or other electronics. (True enough.)
- You read while waiting for dinner to arrive at a restaurant. (Guilty.)
- You read while waiting for the traffic lights to change. (Lights are never long enough.)
- You have more book blogger friends than real life friends. (Waves! Hi everyone!)
- You have a book blog as your home page for your browser. (Yes—it’s mine.)
- You write for and/or own a book blog. (Two actually, the other is Literature Young Adult Fiction, and several guest appearances elsewhere.)
- You enjoy midnight book parties (and movies based on books) and go all out. (I have been loads of characters from Bella Swan to Voldemort.)

Book Budget Buster – That’s definitely happened to me. Maybe not spending more on books than food, but I spend more on books than on lots of other things.
Books over Girl Time – Yep. Done that too.
Sometimes I wish I had clones so they could do everything else leaving me to read all the time. lol
Awesome post! Actually…my home page is Kindle books, but I have B&N on my favorites. If you dial Barnes & Noble more than pizza delivery.(Guilty). I read every night before bed, not out of the ordinary right? Wait for it…..while on vacation. You might be a reader if you know what a to be read/to be bought list is.

I have three more:
- You read while you’re walking on the strees (hazardous, but can be done)
- You don’t mind waiting for the train because it means extra reading time.
- You always carry at least one book with you, in any format.

The ereader ones don’ t apply for me but all the others do.
Other examples might be that there are multiple bookshelves in the house and they are all full (double stacked).
Your friends come to you to borrow books.
You are on first name terms with your local librarians.
Marg, those are great! Yes, to the multiple bookshelves. Double stacked…check. I ask you, “Who knows the library’s hours of operation?” A reader! That’s who.
